Design
UI/UX Designer
Contract · Remote · Posted September 2026
About the role
We build AI systems that ship — support agents, RAG search, fraud scoring, computer vision, voice — for fintech, e-commerce and retail clients. A lot of that surfaces as dashboards, review queues, and admin tools: places where someone has to make a decision based on what an AI system found, and the UI either helps them or gets in the way.
This role starts with UI/UX — turning what these products need to do into interfaces that hold up under real data, not just look clean in a mockup with three rows of placeholder text.
Responsibilities
- Design UI/UX for our product interfaces: dashboards, review queues, admin tools, client-facing flows
- Turn a rough idea or a technical constraint into wireframes, flows, and high-fidelity screens
- Extend and keep consistent the design system our frontend is already built on
- Design for real, messy data — long lists, edge cases, empty states — not just the happy path
- Work directly with engineers on handoff — specs they can actually implement without guessing
Requirements
- 2+ years of real product design experience, with a portfolio of shipped work - not just concept pieces
- Strong UI craft: typography, spacing, hierarchy - the stuff that makes an interface feel considered, not just assembled
- Comfortable designing data-dense screens: tables, dashboards, filters - not just marketing pages
- Figma, and knowing how to structure a file so someone else can pick it up
- Can explain the reasoning behind a design decision, not just defend a preference
Nice to have
- Experience designing B2B or internal/admin tools, not just consumer apps
- Some understanding of how AI/ML products behave — confidence scores, false positives, why "the model was wrong" needs a UI too
- Basic front-end literacy — enough to know what's cheap and what's expensive to build
What we offer
- Remote-first
- Real production work — code that ships to real users, not a demo that dies in a Figma file
- Flexible hours, results over facetime
